  • It was brought up before the club that Ed McCray’s membership is in bad standings.  Ed is 4 months behind in his dues and failed to sell his portion of the Federation Raffle tickets.  There was some discussion on procedures and a re-reading of the bylaws pertaining to this matter.  The results were that Jim B. called and spoke to Ed.  Jim explained that he needed to have his dues paid by Thursday to Rich B. to be able to fish Bantam this coming Sunday.  Discussion continued around the need to fix the loophole in the bylaws, Section 4 Membership.  Currently this allows us to take payment at the launch.  Concern is that the member in bad standing may not show up and leave a good member on the launch with no boater.  We will look into changing the bylaw to read that the member must pay at the meeting prior to a tournament to be eligible to fish the tournament.
  • It was mentioned that Dave Santos of the Federation was treated to a fishing trip at Lake Amistad by Sure Life.  Those who know Dave know that he works hard and relentlessly for the Federation and this trip was well deserved.  Dave had commented that he had a great time and the fishing was good.
